Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag: September

Every month Rainbow Honey offers a new Mystery Bag full of surprise goodies.  Most often it's a preview of new collections to come as well as amazing smelling body and cuticle products.  They offer a Mini (10$us) that includes the smaller sized polishes as well as sample sized body products and a Large (25$us), which as the name implies includes full sized products.

This month's Bag included:
Hand Soap, Body Balm, and Body Lotion in the Pomme Rouge scent which smells exactly like an Apple Dumpling Strawberry Shortcake doll.  It's a sweet apple berry scent that is not cloying at all.

The polishes included are:

  • Salacia - A light green jelly with a mix of iridescent shaped glitters.
  • Sugarberries - A cranberry jelly with a mix of silver, bronze, and cranberry glitter.
  • Asteroid B - An iridescent jelly blend of blues with silver glitters and stars.

Salacia stamped with MoYou London Sailor plate 05.

Sugarberries stamped with MoYou London Tropical plate 09.

Astreroid B stamped with Vivid Lacquer plate 02.

As much as I love Rainbow Honey, I have to admit I wasn't impressed with these polishes.  One coat was sheer and gloopy and it required several to get opacity.  The above swatches are each three coats with a fast dry top coat.  The accent is a stamped image that corresponds with the name.  Overall these polishes didn't seem to look too tidy and didn't seem to want to dry all the way!  Perhaps I'm too much of a novice to work with them, and it certainly won't stop me from continuing my subscription and stalking the site the 1st of each month for new releases!
